View RecordsArizona calls the printout of a driving or vehicle record a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), and the MVD sets the rules for how it can be requested and released.
Arizona MVD says eligible users can obtain and print a motor vehicle record online through AZMVDNow. The agency also lists a $3 uncertified three-year driving record and a $5 certified five-year driving record through the Motor Vehicle Record Request process. Release of personal identifying information is restricted by the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act and Arizona law.
The official MVD route differs by whether you need an online personal printout, an uncertified request-form record, or a certified record.
| Option | Access / certification | Period | Published fee | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Online personal MVR | AZMVDNow for eligible users | Use current online record option | Follow portal pricing/instructions | You need your eligible online printable motor-vehicle record |
| Uncertified driving record | Motor Vehicle Record Request | 3-year record | $3 | An uncertified official driving-history request is sufficient |
| Certified driving record | Motor Vehicle Record Request | 5-year | $5 | A recipient specifically needs a certified record |
Choose the product first; then use the online account or official request form.
Ask the recipient or decide from your own use whether an uncertified or certified record is needed.
Arizona MVD links eligible users to the online service to obtain and print an MVR.
The Motor Vehicle Record Request supports the official request-form path and collects the requester/record details required by MVD.
The state’s privacy rules matter most when the request is not simply your own eligible record.
Know whether you need a driving or vehicle record and whether certification is required.
Complete the current MVD requester information and record-identification fields.
If you seek protected personal identifying information about another person, confirm the applicable DPPA/Arizona permissible-use basis before submitting.
Use the MVR for motor-vehicle history. Use court or criminal-history systems separately when the question is about a court case or broader criminal record.
